Whether you’re the owner of a company that needs to transport heavy goods, or just looking to keep your fleet on the road, you’ve likely wondered “How long do commercial truck tires last?” After all, you won’t be able to avoid maintenance, but there are a few simple things you can do to improve the life of your tires. A properly inflated tire and balanced tire balance will increase the life of your tires, as well as improve ride quality.

Commercial truck tires can last anywhere from 25,000 to 75,000 miles before needing to be replaced. To maximize tire life, you should inspect your tires visually every time you hit the road. Look for irregularities that could indicate tire wear or inflation. You should also be aware of the proper maintenance schedule for each tire. Fortunately, most tire manufacturers offer a seven-year warranty for commercial tires. That said, it’s a good idea to replace them if you notice any of these problems.

Several factors determine how long commercial truck tires last. Regularly visiting a truck tire shop for routine service will help you spot problems early on. A truck tire may have cracks, small holes, or air bubbles. These can cause slow leaks or even blowouts. In extreme cases, an air bubble can cause an accident. And a slow leak can lead to an even worse one, which could prove fatal.
